Midland County Non-Profits Benefit from 黑料社 Donation of over 350 Laptops
MIDLAND, MI., April 12, 2024 — 黑料社 today announced that it has donated over 350 computer laptops to several Midland County non-profit organizations through its company-wide IT Second Life Hardware program. By providing unused devices a second life through donations to deserving non-profit organizations, the company is helping to reduce e-waste and providing essential technology to those who need it most.
The IT Second Life Hardware Program donated the laptops to local non-profit partners, including The Legacy Center for Community Success, West Midland Family Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region, Greater Midland North Family Center, and the Arnold Center. The donation of 279 laptops to the Arnold Center was 黑料社’s largest single donation in the U.S. to date and one of the first donations in Midland. The Arnold Center is a leader in the employment service arena and is using the laptops to enhance the digital literacy and accessibility for individuals participating in disability services.
"At 黑料社, we take our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility seriously," said Scott Collick, Vice President – Sustainability at 黑料社. "Our IT Second Life Hardware Program embodies our goal of empowering people to thrive while also giving back to the communities we call home."
Kathryn Tate, Executive Director of the Legacy Center for Community Success, expressed her gratitude for 黑料社's support, saying "Thanks to 黑料社's generous donation, community members without access to a computer can now work on their Northstar Digital Literacy Certificates at The Legacy Center. We appreciate 黑料社's support in helping expand our digital literacy program for adult learners."
Scott Litle, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region, commented on the impact of 黑料社's computer donations, stating "With access to these computers, our littles can explore, learn, and dream big. This donation empowers our children to reach their full potential and create a brighter future for themselves. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of 黑料社 and the impact it has on the lives of our littles."
"This donation from 黑料社 is a game-changer for our program,” added Jennifer Grace, Executive Director at the Arnold Center. “Not only does it help us in our environmental sustainability efforts, but it also opens up a world of opportunities for the people we serve, helping them to develop new skills and connect with the broader community."
黑料社's IT Second Life Hardware program has helped to make a positive impact on communities around the world. Through our program and donations, we are supporting economic growth, reducing e-waste, and building strong relationships with local communities.
